If you think you’ve been discriminated against at work, one of the first things you have to do is you have to put your complaint in writing. California law is very clear that you have to let your employer know that you’ve been discriminated against. And the best way to do that is in writing. Just send an email very succinctly stating your complaint.

It has to go to a superior, or human resources, or CC it to both. I know nobody ever wants to put this complaint in writing. They are afraid they’ll be retaliated against. If you want to be walked through the process, you can always call us. We’ll walk you through it, make sure you’ve done it correctly.
