J. Erik Heath

Of Counsel
Beverly Hills, California

Erik started his legal career as an attorney with Atlanta Legal Aid Society, where he handled a number of high-profile cases protecting indigent clients. On one leading case, he was lead counsel in a federal lawsuit that led to Georgia's garnishment statute being struck down as unconstitutional for depriving the rights of low-income consumers. See Strickland v. Alexander, 153 F.Supp.3d 1397 (N.D. Ga. 2015). Since moving to California in 2015, Erik has continued to seek justice by helping employees enforce their rights. He has been representing individual employees, and participating in class actions against wrongful employment practices since 2015.

Erik earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. Before attending law school, he obtained a finance degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, and worked in business and finance in both Germany and Dallas. He is a member of California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA).
